Peacefully at Bella Senior Care with her family by her side, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 after having celebrated her 93rd birthday on September 19th. Betty Barnes, wife of the late John Lawrence "Barney"; loving mother of John (Judy), David (the late Pam), Cindy Letwin (Mel) & Sam (Gail); dear grandmother of Raeann, John Michael, Chris & Ryan. Betty is survived by five great grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister Phyliss Cornell & her brother David Willick; predeceased by her siblings: Albert, Carol, Bernice & Don. Friends will be received at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Sunday, September 28th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held on Monday morning at 11:00 o'clock at Chippawa Presbyterian Church, 8280 Willoughby Drive, Chippawa. Private Interment at Lundy's Lane Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the church. We would like to thank the staff of Bella for all the loving and compassionate care given to our mother.
