William Harry Bacon

Passed away on March 6th 2012 at St. Catharines General Hospital. Born July 22,1926. Predeceased by his wife Marie Adeline Ouellette and sisters Margaret Grainger and Beatrice Rumley. He leaves behind his loving daughter Linda (William)Guthrie of Ottawa and son Bill Jr. (Janet Herman) of Sudbury. Pops will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren, Benjamin & Christopher Guthrie, Lee Ann (Bacon) Cormier and Jennifer (Bacon) Michel, and great-grandchildren Findley and Bronwyn Michel. An expert woodwright, Bill had a lengthy career as the sales manager at Beaver Lumber on Drummond Road in Niagara Falls. Special thanks to Dr. Drew Girard, Dr. George Zimakas, and the excellent staff of the Lundy Manor Retirement Home. The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL. 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Friday March 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday March 10th at 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
