Jeanette M Martin

Jeanette M. Martin was granted her angel wings on February 6, 2014. She was born on May 13, 1939 in New London, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Arthur Filosi and Frances Filosi. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jeannette had touched in many ways throughout her memorable life.

Jeanette was an amazing individual and spent much of her time with her family and friends, and showed the importance of family, friends and love of life.

She was a graduate of New London High School. She married Robert E. Martin, Sr. on September 12, 1959, at St. Agnes Parish in Niantic.

She was a volunteer at the Niantic Senior Center. She was a member of the St. Agnes Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She was, also, a member Waterford Regional Lions Club for twenty five years.

She is survived by her four children, daughter Cheryl Marchant of Gales Ferry, CT., son and daughter in law, Robert E. Martin, Jr. and Biff Martin, of Dealand, Florida, son and daughter in law, Rodney P.Martin and Beth Martin of Montville, CT., and son, Joseph J. Martin of Seriville, Tennessee. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and sister, Arlene Brown of Niantic, sister, Elizabeth Gischel of Allentown, Pennsylvania, sister, Joyce Clark of Niantic, Connecticut. She is, also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Filosi Jr. and, her sister Grace Burdick

A viewing will be held for family and friends at 9:30am Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home at 13 Lake Avenue, Niantic. A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Agnes Parish, 22 Haigh Ave., Niantic at 11am, Wednesday, February 12, 2014. The Burial will be held immediately following at the Union Cemetery in Niantic
