Joseph Anthony Miano

Mr. Miano was born on March 22, 1948 in Hartford, the son of Nicholas and Santina (Aiello) Miano. He graduated from A.I. Prince Tech in Hartford. He honorably served in the US Army.

Mr. Miano is survived by his daughter, Danielle Buckley of Plainville, her husband, Brian, grandchildren,

Joshua and his wife, Gabrielle, Alyssa and her partner, Jonathan, Jeremy and Kayla Buckley, and four

great grandchildren. Also his brother, Nicholas and wife, Cathy, of Florida and family and his sister Nina Miano-Schiessl and her partner Michael, sister Maria Miano-Teixeira of Niantic, nephews Michael, Bryan & AndrewSchiessl, his uncle Nino & Janet Miano of Hartford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Ave. Niantic, CT. Interment will follow later in the afternoon at 2:00pm at Connecticut Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, Niantic is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 227 Dunham St., Norwich, CT 06360.
