

Cheryl Lynn (Hoffman) Hasvold, age 61, passed away peacefully at her home in Norco Louisiana on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Cheryl was born May 10, 1963, in Enid Oklahoma to Mr. Dick Eugene Hoffman and Margaret Ellen Twinn. She was the next to the youngest of five children. Cheryl married Jim Carr and they had two sons Jack and Levi Carr. Cheryl took pride in having a strong work ethic with integrity in any job she began. When she accepted a job, she would give it her all. She had a very outgoing and likable personality. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Cheryl was an adventuresome entrepreneur and started her own business called the Copper Cup with the help of her husband Allen Hasvold shortly after moving to South Carolina. Shortly after her husband Allen passed away Cheryl along with her two boys moved to Onalaska, Texas to help take care of her mother during her time in hospice. Cheryl lived in Texas for several years, she then moved to Norco, Louisiana where she met and lived her last years with Mr. Charles Hunt of Norco Louisiana.
Cheryl is survived by Charles, her two sons Jack Carr and Levi Carr, her granddaughter Jade Metcalf and spouse Jamin Metcalf, and her great-granddaughter Harper Metcalf. Charles’s Mother Marie Hunt, daughter, Katelynn, granddaughter Elyza Jane, and the 2 dogs, Apollo and Aries. She is also survived by her brother Homer A. Hoffman, and her sisters Ruth Creason, Cathy Adian and spouse Frank Adian, and Mata Ringwald. She came
from and is loved by a large close family with many cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
The visitation for Cheryl will be Friday May 24, 2024 from 8:30 am -11:00 am at Leitz- Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd Metairie La 70006
