Gregory Vincent Walter Hymel

He was born August 26, 1955. Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Conrad A. Hymel and Betty Chiasson Hymel. Survived by longtime companion, Virginia Waltz Trahan, and by Linda Richardson Hymel, mother of their beloved children Adam Conrad Hymel, his wife Emily Helmstetter Hymel and daughter Hallie Rose Hymel, and Caroline Rose Hymel, her companion Alex King.

Also survived by Brothers—Rex A. Hymel, his wife Deborah Tyrolf Hymel, daughters Whitney Ann Hymel and Samantha Hymel Senia and husband Darryl Senia. Bryan J. Hymel, his wife Elaine Taffaro Hymel, son Bryan J. Hymel Jr., his wife Irini Kyriakidou Hymel, their daughters Eva and Anna Hymel, and daughter Allison Hymel Nielsen and husband Todd Nielsen.

Sister— Monica Hymel Guidry, husband Daniel J. Guidry, daughter and Godchild Monique Ann Guidry and husband Patrick Lambert, and son Daniel J. Guidry II.

Sister— Rebecca T. Hymel, and daughter Sarah Hymel Gastell, husband Carlos Gastell and son Keagan Hymel Gastell.

Godchildren—Travis J. Lovetro from Katy TX, and Mason Giarrusso from Montgomery LA.

Also left behind many Family and friends.

He had a long career with Texas International, Continental, and United Airlines for 44 years.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, Louisiana 70047, followed by a memorial mass at 12:00 PM.
