

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Esco and Estelle Duplessis.
Joseph is survived by his loving son, Mario Cole (Allison); his cherished grandchildren, Analyse Cole and Mario Cole II; his siblings, Gregory Duplessis, Diane Cormier, and Gayle Skinner; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Joseph dedicated his professional life first to the oil and gas industry and later to education as a professor. He believed strongly in the importance of education and enjoyed his years working in Texas and Louisiana.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Vietnam veteran, demonstrating dedication and courage that remained a source of pride throughout his life.
Joseph will be remembered for his cheerful and friendly nature, as well as his love of conversation. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including a good cup of coffee, classical music, movies, sports, and sharing good food with others.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 24th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, Louisiana, followed by inurnment with military honors at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana.
Joseph Cole’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
