

Kenneth Joseph Moïse, Sr. passed away at his home in Destrehan, LA on July 16, 2022 at 2:00AM at the age of 92. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Anthony Kenneth Moïse and Rita Louise Moïse.
He was a graduate of Fourche High School in New Orleans, LA and would go on to graduate from Louisiana State University, Agricultural and Mechanical College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering on June 1, 1953.
On June 5, 1954, he would marry the love of his life, the late Beverly Mae Voorhies Moïse at the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus in New Orleans. They would go on to share 67 years together.
Kenneth served in the US Army as 1st Lieutenant from September 11, 1953 through June 10, 1955, he was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas. He received the National Defense Service Metal and was honorably discharged.
The majority of his civilian career was spent as a Petroleum Engineer with the Louisiana Land and Exploration Company for 25 ½ years. He loved working for this company and its employees.
He was an avid tennis player with both his wife, Beverly, and friends. So much so, he built a tennis court in his backyard. He enjoyed duck hunting in South Louisiana with family and friends, but mainly with his father and sons.
He is survived by his five sons, Kenny Moïse, Jr. (Karen), Kevin Moïse, Keith Moïse, Kirk Moïse, and Kraig Moïse. Grandchildren, Rachael Tilley, Kaitlyn Miller, and Erin Moïse, Kyle Moïse, Katherine Moïse, Kameron Moïse, and Dillon Moïse.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10AM.
