Laura Martin Mayeux

She is preceded in death by her husband, Adam Mayeux, her parents, Theophile P. Martin and Laura Perrio Martin, and siblings, Tom, Earl, O’Brien, Virginia, and Warren.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Morrison (Jennifer) and daughter, Karen Sizeler (Ricky). She was the grandmother of Abagail Polacek (Eric) and Julie Yeadon (David), great-grandmother of Luke and Annabelle Polacek, and is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Laura worked at Crane Supply Company for 13 years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #350 and volunteered at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve, LA.

The family would like to give thanks to all the wonderful staff at Ashton Manor for their loving care for the past 8 years, as well as Haydel Hospice for their compassion.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a Mass to begin at 12PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
