She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Emery “EJ” Cormier Sr. She is survived by her three children, Duane Cormier Cazalot (Al), Donna Cormier Waguespack (Danny Sr.) and Emery “EJ” Cormier, Jr. (Aundean). She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Shannie, Samantha, Lisa, Danny Jr., Joshua, Lecy, Alyson, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Pat Garrity Sr., sister, Bonnie Garrity Hebert, and sister-in-laws, Doris Garrity and Hilda Garrity, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her brothers, John Garrity Jr., Harold Garrity, and Frank Garrity.
A graveside prayer service will be held at 10AM on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilynn Cormier’s name to Metairie Health Care Center, 6401 Riverside Drive, Metairie, LA.
