

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved family matriarch, Mary Billson Triche. She was born on October 22, 1939, and passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and after receiving anointing of the sick sacrament, solidifying her deep catholic faith.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Larry Triche, Sr.; her children, Pam McCarter (Burley), Patti Gaubert (Gery), Larry Triche, Jr., and Penny Cantrelle (Casey); her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Ryan, Larry III “Trey,” Jade, Bethany, and Lily; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Bryce, Peyton, Connor, Chloe, Ryleigh, Rowen, and Samson. She is also survived by her siblings, Roberta Blappert and Walter Billson, and her son-in-law, Terry Gaubert and a host of family members.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Gaubert; her brothers, Stanley and Daniel Billson; and her parents, Mildred and John Billson.
Mary will be remembered for her lifelong dedication to her family and her community. A devoted volunteer, she gave generously of her time to local organizations including the St. Charles Parish Visitor Center, Destrehan Manor, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School. In 2002, she and her family were honored as the St. Charles Parish Family of the Year in recognition of their enduring commitment to service. She also served as a 4-H Leader and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 2012.
Mary had a joyful spirit and found great happiness as a lifelong bingo enthusiast, especially at the Knights of Columbus Bingo in Norco. Above all, she will be remembered for her deep faith, her love of family, and the warm, welcoming home she created—filled with cherished holiday gatherings and Sunday dinners. Her compassionate heart and dedication to her community will be remembered for years to come.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 401 Spruce Street, Norco, Louisiana, on Friday, March 27, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, Louisiana.
