Born in New Orleans on May 20, 1963, Maureen grew up in the “Garden District” of Norco, as she loved to call it. A faithful Christian, Maureen was a wonderful accomplished cook, and a gracious hostess. She was employed as a tour guide at San Francisco Plantation and was a passionate volunteer with Take Paws Rescue, a volunteer animal rescue organization.
Maureen embraced the joie de vivre of all things Louisiana but held Jazz Fest as the crown jewel. Each Jazz Fest, you could always find her at the same spot just a little right of center, inside of the turf track.
She especially loved her family, including her cousins, her Maltese, Sadie, and her Yorkie, Rita, and she relished any chance to visit the beach.
Maureen is survived by her twin sister, Maria Miller Earle (Michael Earle), brothers, Ross A. Miller and Gregory A. Miller (Amy Pfrimmer), and nieces, Emma Miller Manson, Kristin Rome Graebert, Candice Miller Catalano, and Brooke Miller Bazile, stepmother, Sue Cutrer Miller, Tante Carol Blanchard Doescher, and numerous cousins.
Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph R. Miller and Anne Blanchard Miller, godparents, Tante Joan Blanchard Montero, and David “Uncle Jimmy” Miller, and grandparents, Emma Cambre Miller, Homer Faust Miller, Florence Tassin Blanchard, and John Samuel Blanchard.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Maureen’s life on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at HC Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, with visitation beginning at 9:00am, services at 11:00am, followed by food and drink at the American Legion Hall.
