

Merlin Charles Carmouche, age 48, passed away at his home in Norco on September 25, 2017. He was born on April 27, 1969 and was a lifelong resident of Norco. He was the 11th of 12 children. Merlin was the loving son of the late Louis “Red” and Edna Andry Carmouche and the loving brother and brother-in-law of Marie C. Tastet (Steven), Marsha C. Jenkins (Jimmy), Michelle Carmouche, Myron Carmouche (Kim), Marcel “Pie” Carmouche (Sharon), Marianne C. Polman (Dominic), Mary Margaret Carmouche and Marshall Carmouche (Michele). He was preceded in death by his siblings Mark “Toro” and Marlene Carmouche and Myra C. Oubre. He is the uncle of 9 nieces and nephews and great uncle of 5.
Merlin was a communications specialists with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department at the 911 center for the last 9 ½ years.
Merlin never met a stranger, he was a fun loving brother and friend to everyone he met. He had a heart of gold and touched so many lives.
Merlin was truly an angel on Earth, he is now an angel in Heaven. We love you brother and friend and we will miss you dearly. Now you can sleep in peace.
Friends, family, and especially the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Department are invited to attend an evening visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St. Norco, LA on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5PM until 9 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the funeral home from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Mass will be held at 11 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 401 Spruce St. Norco, LA 70079. Father Edmund Akador to celebrate. Private burial to be held at a later date.
