Myrtle Brown Berteau

Myrtle Brown Berteau, born July 17, 1930, passed away July 1, 2017. She is surivived by her loving husband of 68 years, Launnie Paul Berteau, children Dale Berteau (Melinda), Wade Berteau (Tina), Bret Berteau (Melissa), Bart Berteau (Melissa), and Dane Berteau (Melissa), grandchildren Luke, Hailey, Timothy, Jonathan, Anna, Jeremiah, Shannon, Shelley, Chad, Brittany, Jennifer, Heather, Brooke, Rachel, and Jade. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her siblings Betty Vicknair, Buster Brown, and Elsie Kerezsi.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Bernadette Jacob Brown, siblings Shirley Tamplain, Floyd Brown, and Carol Bordelon, one child Baby Girl Berteau.

Myrtle loved cooking and feeding people, she also adored her time spent with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Staff of Ormond Nursing Home and Canon Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 beginning at 9:30 AM.
