

Prentice George Louque, Jr. passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born on December 14, 1946 in Grand Point, LA and was a longtime resident of Destrehan, LA and Gonzales, LA.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mae Stein Louque and his brother, Thomas Louque.
He is survived by loving wife of 53 years, Paula Hall Louque, children, Bryan Louque (Wendy) and Shannon Louque Juneau (Kyle), his father, Prentice George Louque, Sr., sister, Vivian Seeling, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Prentice graduated from Destrehan High School and University of Louisiana Lafayette. He worked at Freeport McMoran for 23 years and the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement for 10 years. He was a member of St. Theresa Parish in Gonzales.
He loved his family and all things outdoors, especially traveling and going to his camp. He was a kind, loving, patient, and faithful person who never hesitated to help a neighbor in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a memorial Mass to begin at 12PM. Inurnment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
