She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Josie Catanese and her grandson, Trent Torres.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Larry J. Torres Sr., son, Larry Torres Jr. (Angel), grandson, Travis Torres, sister, Maureen Porteous, niece, Melissa Cruse (John), and great-nieces, Jordan and Presley Cruse.
Vera was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and a member of the Oldies But Goodies Club. She loved crafting and spending time with her family. She was a sweet and outgoing person who will be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10Am – 12PM with a memorial Mass to begin at 12PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
