Alfonso Dulay Arigo

Alfonso “Ponching” Dulay Arigo, 79, passed away March 5, 2020. Born in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines to the late Jose, Sr. and Trinidad Dulay Arigo, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresita Diaz and his first wife, Consolacion Papa Arigo. Ponching retired as a supply officer with the United States Navy and spent his free-time fishing, singing, playing guitar, and babysitting his grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 9 years, Corazon Manalili; daughters, Maria Marcangelo, Darlen Arigo (Henry Gebhart), Josephine Thomasson (Johnnie), and Sheila Villanueva (Dan); son, Razmer Manalili (Carmina); grandchildren, Nicholas (Allyson) and Nicole Marcangelo, Logan, Cy, and Caleb Thomasson, Ralph Caesar and Raiden Carr Manalili, and Kyle and Kian Villanueva; great-grandchildren, Annaliese and Caylin Marcangelo; brothers, Jose, Jr., Manuel, Pedro, Eugenio, Francisco, Rafael, and Roberto Arigo; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood-Kellum, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church, 7800 Halprin Dr, Norfolk on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
