Alfonso Tiangson Martinez

Alfonso Tiangson Martinez, 87, of Virginia Beach passed away April 29, 2021 doing what he enjoyed most, traveling. He was the loving widower to Felicidad Martinez. They shared 46 years of marriage together. Born in the Philippines he was the son of Francisco Martinez & Felicidad Tiangson Martinez. Al proudly worked for Metro Machine as a Machinist for over thirty years. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of Ascension Church. Al and Fely enjoyed attending church gatherings and events with their many friends. They had a love for traveling and experiencing the world together. After his wife passed, Al enjoyed spending time with his nephew, caregiver, and friend, Joseph Lawrence. His funeral will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:30am. A viewing will be held at 9:00am prior to the service.
