Ann was born at home on November 26, 1935 to parents John and Mary Kazimer Majot in Austin, PA. She was one of nine children.
Ann had a beautiful voice and loved to sing (often times louder than everyone else), she had a green thumb and could grow anything. Ann also loved the beach where she spent most weekends in the summer and found it to be very tranquil. It was definitely her happy place. Scrabble was her game of choice and often impossible to beat. She loved her family and was always the life of the party. She worked part time through the years but especially loved her job at the Norfolk Navel Exchange.
Ann was a Navy wife and was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, William K Swank.
She is survived by her 3 children Kathy Ehler (Frank), Cristine Cannon (James), Brian Swank (Veronica); 4 grandchildren Chase Ehler (Brooke), Paige Ehler, Abigail Cannon, Patrick Cannon; 3 great-grandchildren, Callie Ehler, Holden Ehler, and Conrad Ehler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chesapeake Place, especially Michelle, Mary Ellen, and Charles for the extra care and attention they gave our mother.
The family will hold a private service on June 26, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest.
