Atilio Martinez

Atilio Martinez, 78, passed away in Norfolk on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Atilio was born in El Salvador to the late Trinidad and Balbina Martinez. Atilio was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. When he was living in El Salvador he worked very hard in establishing his own supermarket. In his spare time he loved spending time with his family, traveling, and swimming. He is cherished in memory by his children, Jose (Sue) Martinez, German (Merlin) Martinez, Enrique (Odilcia) Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Javier (Ruanda) Martinez, Dinora Martinez, Jaime (Valeria) Martinez, Adelina Martinez and Alex (Flor) Martinez; his wife, Gloria Lopez; stepchildren, Noe (Evelyn) Lopez, Roxana (Ronald) Lopez, Edgar Lopez and Christian Lopez; brother, Carlos Martinez and fifteen grandchildren and two great grand childen.

There will be a visitation from 4-8pm on Monday afternoon, February 19, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 10am, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with burial to immediately follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
