Barbara M. Wilson

NORFOLK - 82, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Wilson, her brother, John Brander, and her beloved dog, Daisy Duke. Barbara was born in Chicago and lived most of her life in Norfolk. She was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from civil service as a "bean counter".

Barbara was a member of St. Pius X Parish and had volunteered in the parish office. She was also a longtime volunteer for the Education Department at Norfolk Botanical Garden. She was a thoughtful and kind person who loved going to lunch with her friends as often as possible.

Barbara, or "Bonus" as she was know by her family, is survived by her daughter, Theresa Augustin, her husband, Ron, her sister, Patricia Fabiano of Lombard, IL, her husband, Anthony, and her extended family members in Illinois and Wisconsin.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk SPCA.

The family would also like to recognize the outstanding care and support by the staff at The Gardens of Virginia Beach and Medi-Home Hospice. A special thanks to all her friends who kept her spirits up.
