Virginia Beach ~ Betty J. Zimmerman, 64, of Virginia Beach, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. Born January 24, 1944 in Danville, Va. to Thomas and Leona Shorter. Betty is survived by her loving children, Michael Zimmerman, Jr. and his wife, Sara of Chesapeake, Thomas Zimmerman and his wife, Whitney, Dana Lewis and her husband, Steven, Amy Forbes and her husband, Chris, Kimberly Wilson and her husband, David, all of Virginia Beach; twelve grandchildren, Fallon, Matthew, Wesley, Amber, Cody, Mason, Taylor, Jason, Madison, Rachel, Zachary, and McKenna. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Michael L. Zimmerman; her parents, and a grandson, Jacob. A celebration of Betty's life will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 3, 2008 at the graveside in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. with Dr. Ralph Herbert officiating. Woodlawn Funeral Home is handling the arrangments.
