We are deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Beverly, a beloved member our Adult Day Center community. Though she a quiet presence her warmth and gentle spirit touched us all.  She will be greatly missed and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

To Beverly's Famly,

We were privileged to have feisty Beverly as a member of our synagogue in Virginia Beach.  We looked forward to sharing her hiking stories and her life's adventures with us each week.  I can still remember how annoyed she was one holiday when we were reading a portion in the Bible about animal sacrifice.  Such disdain on her expressive face and such love for animals!   She was quite the determined lady and we used to laugh when she realized she needed help walking, but would carry the stick instead of using it!  We were sad when she moved, but it looks like her years with her family were special ones.  May you be blessed with warm memories.

Rosa and I offer our condolences to you and your family, Shannon, on the transition of your grandmother Ms. Beverly. As you are aware, I had the pleasure of transporting Ms. Beverly to and from the Kent Adult Day Center. She was a quiet and sweet person. One with a beautiful smile, Ms. Beverly would board the bus, look around to see who was on the bus and then she would take her seat. In the afternoon when it was close to the time to leave, she would watch me and my every move. If I moved from my office towards the door of the center, she would be moving as well, all the while watching me. She didn't want to be left. Again, she didn't say much, but her smile spoke for her.

Mrs. Bachman was such a sweet lady.  We were so grateful to be part of her life.  Blessings to her and her family.

My mother Dolores and Bev enjoyed a special relationship through the years as sister-in-laws.  And I will always cherish the memories of my visits and conversations with her.  She was very much adored by us.

Aunt Bev will be deeply missed by our family and all who knew her; she was truly a ray of sunshine who brightened any room she was in. I loved hearing her stories and she could always make me laugh.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ms Beverly and what a wonderful woman she was!!!! She always had a smile on her face, so kind and loving. Her granddaughter Shannon loved her very much and I know for a fact! Ms. Beverly loved her family so much and it was so obvious.  I know she is smiling down on each of them! “Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simple mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again”.

I had the pleasure of knowing Miss Beverly from the adult day center.    Her family loved her and took care of her for many years.   She was a spunky little  lady.   She loved to talk about her hiking experiences.  Her face would break into the most beautiful smile when she saw an animal.  I also got the pleasure of getting to know Shannon and her family.    Shannon you were so devoted in caring for your grandmother.   The love you gave her was what kept her with us for so long.   There are some that shine a bright light in this world and the light keeps  shining after they are gone.   God Bless you all.

We loved Beverly at the daycenter.  It was a pleasure to know her!

There are many memories with Gram, Gram!  Shannon, CJ and K made her a part of everything!!  we had bon fires in the back, K's college softball games, K's graduation, we did puzzles together, and many dinners at the Vaillancourt/Bachman  Estate.  We always stopped on our way to FL and back.  RIP sweet Gram, Gram!  We will miss seeing you!   Steve & Cindy Vaillancourt

With heartfelt condolences to your family, I can recall Mrs. Beverly being so fond of her dogs Ginger and Benji. Sometimes she would allow us to jump the fence and pet them as we didn’t have pets.

Gram, Gram.  we did a lot together, and we have a lot of special memories!  From working on puzzles, bon fires in the backyard, Kayla's softball games, Kayla's graduation, many dinners together, and twice a year we would visit you in Maryland!  It will definitely be weird visiting the Vaillancourt/Bachman Estate, and not seeing you there!  RIP sweet Gram  Gram!  You will be missed!  Cindy & Steve Vaillancourt

Beverly was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was always kind and welcoming to me through the years and I have fond memories of playing billiards in the family room, where laughter abounded.  We also enjoyed many spirited card games over the years at her kitchen table.  She will be remembered as a fun loving person who enjoyed traveling and staying physically active well into her 80’s. She was a proud military wife and avid animal lover. My deepest condolences to the family at this very difficult time.

What a wonderful lady you were Ms.Bev/Gram. When I first came to be your aid you had the best smile on your face. At that time you were not walking and in a wheelchair but we made it work. After awhile you took a change. Not for the worst but for the best. I had never heard of anyone coming off of hospice. I still can't believe that. I was so excited for you. Even though you didn't talk much we still had great conversations. Looking at old pictures and you telling me who people were. Anytime the family needed me to come I was there. You will always have a very special place in my heart. I will miss you. Continue to rest until we meet again.

I had the pleasure of meeting the family years back when Beverly transition from her Norfolk home to living with Shannon and family in Maryland so glad Beverly had the time over the past few years with the family in Maryland….may she rest in peace and everlasting life with God
