Carmine Petretto Jr.

The Legend, Carmine Petretto, Jr., of Carmine and Company, 93, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Virginia Beach. Carmine was born in Connecticut to the late Carmine, Sr. and Anna Petretto after they immigrated from Italy. He was very proud of his Italian roots and was the epitome of an Italian gentleman. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy E. Petretto; his daughter, Robin Wesley; son, David Petretto and his siblings, Alan Petretto and sister, Lena Hutchinson. Carmine was very well known in the community, as he owned the prominent and successful Carmine and Co. hair salon and worked as a stylist for over 60 years in Virginia Beach. In his spare time Carmine enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing and going on cruises. Carmine is survived by his brother, Joseph Petretto; his sister, Louise Shea; his sister, Annette Fagicole; his daughter, Vickie Carter, and husband Scott; son, Danny Petretto and his wife, Celia; son-in-law, Michael Wesley; the best 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and significant friends.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11am, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home where US Navy honors will be rendered. Please offer your condolences to the family at www.woodlawnnorfolk.com.
