Catherine “Cathy” Lorene Worrell, 86, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Chesapeake, VA. Cathy was born in Georgia, to the late James and Maud Cannon. She is also predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Morris Worrell, II as well as her three brothers and one sister. Cathy was very active throughout her lifetime, she played various sports including softball, volleyball, bowling, fishing, camping, loved watching Nascar and actively dancing both a combination of tap and jazz styles. As a fisherman, she was an active member of the Bass and Gals Club and she was also a member of NCHA Camping Association as well. Cathy was an elegant seamstress and very crafty as well, she made clothing and other trinkets and jewelry items. She never stopped learning and adventuring either. After having her children, she went back to school and earned her cosmetology license as well as her instructor’s license to further her career as a cosmetologist. Cathy will be deeply missed and cherished in memory by her children, Morris “Frank” Worrell, III and his wife, Kiz, Donna Lynne Worrell-Pratt and Sam, Mark T. Worrell and his wife, Kerry; step-children, Deborah S. Worrell and Marian E. Worrell Warner; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
