Charles Everett Brown, Sr., 92, passed away peacefully at his home in Bradenton, FL. He was born in Ahoskie, NC to the late Rufus and Jessie Brown. He is predeceased by his wife, Alice Brown; son, Charles E. Brown, Jr. Charles retired from the Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority. He was a member of Freemason Baptist Church. Charles is survived by his daughter, Ruth Locklier of FL.
A visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday at Smith and Williams Norfolk Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk with the Dr. Tim Dixson officiating. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.smithandwilliamsnorfolk.com.
