AUX SOINS DE
Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens
Clara Louise Case (78), is at peace with her Lord. She passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2020 in her Virginia Beach home.
She was born in Panama to the late Willard and Margaret Percy. Clara was witty and the epitome of a 50’s homemaker, and always had a great affinity for animals. Clara was also an adventurer, taking her son, Allen, to the aquarium, nature centers, NASA, and various other locations that make Virginia famous.
She met her late husband, Don Case, Jr., who was a weather forecaster in Charleston, West Virginia, and a forecaster for the Air Force, having served in Korea and Vietnam. They retired in Virginia Beach as Don thought that the best weather in America was there. Clara and Don were members of Old Donation Episcopal Church, where Clara loved to serve coffee and they had many dear friends. The two of them were inseparable and would venture out in their Dodge Charger whenever they had the chance. Once Don’s health began to decline, the two of them spent more and more time at home together until his passing on February 22, 2020.
She is greeted in heaven by her husband of 44 years, Don Case, Jr., who’s band “Don Case and His Satin Sound Orchestra” she frequently sang in. She is survived by her son, Allen Beebe; daughter-in-law, Heather Beebe; grandchildren, John and Abriquella Beebe; brothers, Paul and Jeff Lambert, and her beloved pet, Muffin.
The family wishes to lay Clara to rest with Don in a private inurnment within the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, and wishes to hold a Memorial Service at a future date at Clara's church, Old Donation Episcopal Church, 4449 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach.
