Born May 20, 1924 in Norfolk, VA to the late Henry and Sudie Byrd.
Mrs. Lawrence was the widow of Albert B. Lawrence and survived by a son, Gregory Kent Lawrence and wife Leslie, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; daughter, Janet L. Staples and husband Bruce W. Staples of Chesapeake, VA. There are six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lawrence was retired from Bank of America. She was a dedicated member of Norview , McKendree and St. Andrews Methodist Church. She was a lover of golf, bowling, and especially of people and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502 on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 12:30p.
