Ray served and retired as a Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corps. He also belonged to the Elks #2268, Marine Corp League- Virginia Beach, and Volunteered VA Hospital.
Left to cherish Ray’s memory is his loving wife, Carolyn Kinney; son, RJ Kinney; daughters, Debra Kinney, Diane Shorey, and Teresa Ballance; grandchildren, Bobby Allen, Jonathan Ballance, and Christina Ballance; great grandchildren, Remmington Allen and Dakota Spruill; and brother, Robert Morris. He will be greatly missed!
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11 AM, Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marine Corp League Young Marines.
