Daniel Laurinal Tittle was born to Zetella Ferguson and Edward Tittle on April 2, 1936 on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. He was the third of ten children. As a young man growing up, Dan loved to play soccer and cricket. He enjoyed taking care of his birds and gardening. Daniel felt God’s called to the ministry, so he enrolled in the Nazarene Training College in Trinidad. He graduated with the class of 1961. Upon his graduation and ordination his first assignment was in Tobago. He was privileged to begin the Nazarene work there. His ministry extended to include several churches in Trinidad and Guyana. Rev. Tittle migrated to the United States of America during the late sixties. There he worked with Carnegie Concepts as an accountant. After 37 years of service, he retired. While he was still working, he preached at various churches in New York. It was at a preaching assignment at Springfield Gardens Church of the Nazarene where he met and fell in love with Angelica Blades. They were married on December 19, 1981. This union was blessed with two children, Angeline and Tracey. Daniel loved his family. He had a special place in his heart for each of his children. He was a great spiritual leader for them. Not only was he a spiritual leader to his family, but he was also a spiritual influence in the lives of many people at the churches he attended: Bedford Zion Church of the Nazarene, Campostella Church of the Nazarene and Norfolk Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Daniel loved to sing. Throughout the day you would hear him singing hymns and spiritual songs. The songs he sang would always convey a message. During his final days, while lying in the hospital, he was heard singing: “There are days I like to be all alone with Christ my Lord, I will tell Him of my troubles all alone.” Daniel departed to be with the Lord on Monday May 12, 2014. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his 6 children and all his relatives. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Amabelle, Sheila, Dolly and Claudia. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Angelica, his sons: Ian (JoAnne), Laurinal and Clifford (RiQueshia), his daughters: Odette, Angeline Jeter and Tracey, his grandchildren: Seon, Adell, Isaiah, Christopher, Jarrell, Jhaniyah, Adrian and Emmanuel, his brothers: James, Herbert, Hudson and Henry, his sisters: Joan and Janet and a host of in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
