

Darlene Bordeaux Glaser, born April 4th, 1950, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her father James P. Bordeaux, retired Norfolk Police Sargent and her brother Marine Corporal James P. Bordeaux, Jr., who was killed serving his country in Vietnam and her beloved pet Max. Darlene is survived by her loving husband Louis Glaser, son Chris Joyner, mother Joann S. Bordeaux, brother Walter R. Bordeaux and his wife Helene E. Bordeaux, sister Gayle B. Price, half brothers Sam and Stephen Broody, stepchildren Claren, Brian and Brad Dunn, nephews Richard and Nathan Price, James and Walter Bordeaux and their families, sister-in-law Ann Brett (Herb), Sandra Abramsen (Lee), brother-in-law Stanley Glaser (Linda), nieces Kim Griffeth (Rob), Joanna Glaser (Gary), Jackie Glaser (Kevin), Rickey Yancey (Tina), best friend and neighbor Patsy. Darlene was born in Norfolk to James P. Bordeaux and Verna P. Broody. She was a graduate of Norview High School and grew up in Norvella Heights in Norfolk. She attended Key Business School and went to work for VNB bank working as Executive Assistant when it was merged with Bank of America where she retired while working in small business lending. Darlene always loved fishing and the water. After retiring from the bank she went to work at Vinings Marina working as Dock Master when her illness struck. She was well loved by those who knew her and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank VA Oncology and Heartland Hospice for their help and support. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, March 3rd, at Bayside Christian Church, 2224 Greenwell Road, Virginia Beach.
