David Lloyd Miller

Heaven kissed the Earth today and the Earth responded. David L. Miller went home to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep at his home.

One of his passions was serving his country. He was an astute businessman. One of his lifetime hobbies was collecting coins. He loved much. He was in love with his wife her whole life, and was blessed with six children. And he survived his second love, Helen Miller.

David is survived by one brother John Miller of Pennsylvania, and six children, William Miller and his wife, Sylvia; Diana Thomas and her husband, Donald; Linda Tucker and her husband Bob; David Miller II and his wife Janice; Charles Miller II, Robert Miller and his wife Terri; 11 grandchildren, Tucker, Ryan, Dawn, Chrissy, Al, Ashley, Lloyd, Melissa, Priscilla, Jonathan, and Courtney.

He is also survived by 6 step-children and 6 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted in Woodlawn Funeral Home on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11am with Chaplain Randy Wilcox officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow the burial service. The family will receive friends on Sunday August 1, 2010 from 6 to 8pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
