On January 10, 2022, God sent an angel of mercy to float our beloved Delores Rhodes to her heavenly home on high. A native of Norfolk, VA, she was born on April 14, 1945 to the late David and Ethel Bullock.
Lois, as she was affectionately known, was the oldest of 12 children and an awesome big sister. Even in our later years, she still treated us all as if we were her children. She was an avid reader, trusted friend, lover of music and dancing and a joy to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Lois retired from Farm Fresh after years of managing the Seafood department. She was a former member of St. Mark RZUA and attended First Baptist Bolling Brook until her health failed.
Lois was predeceased by her husband, Harrison Rhodes; brother, Robert Bullock and sisters, Ethel Winborne and Paulette Bullock. She leaves to cherish fond memories, one daughter, Miriam Diana Combo; 3 grandsons, Keith Combo, Vaugh Combo and Delvon (Charie) Combo; 9 great–grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 5 sisters, Marguerite Church, Bernice Robinson, Judith Massenburg, Marion Howard and Minister Annette Holley; 3 brothers, Clarence, Donald and Clyde Bullock and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We will all miss her so much, especially her vibrant smile and contagious laugh.
