She grew up in South Norfolk and Berkeley and attended the “Black only” schools of Abraham Lincoln and Booker T. Washington High school.
After graduation, Elizabeth met and married Alexander Mullen, also of Norfolk.
They produced three children, Bernard, Barbara Ann, and Michael. They would produce three grand kids and seven great grand kids and 2 Great-grands. She would later also become a certified nursing aide (CNA).
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, 11:00a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Highlights of her life include; She retired at age 72 after 50 years.
Learned to drive at age 55,
Married over 50 years,
Member of FBC Berkeley – 75+ yrs,
Traveled all over the country
Learn to use a Tablet at 95.
