Emma McRae, 87, passed away Sept 11, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was born in Irwin, PA., to the late William and Emma Bowling and was predeceased by her husband, Oliver F. McRae. Emma is survived by her stepson Randy McRae and his wife April of Virginia Beach; stepdaughter Jackie Liverman of Suffolk; grandchildren Shelly Harrell and husband Daniel of Norfolk; Erin Tanner and husband Nick of Virginia Beach; Larry Liverman and wife Terry of Virginia Beach; and 8 great grandchildren. Emma’s daughter in law April was her caregiver and friend for the last two years of her life. Emma worked as a civil service employee with the U.S. Navy, a past president of the NALC Ladies Auxiliary, and loved to ballroom dance. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1 pm in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in the Avenue of Flags, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
