

Eugene was born on October 20, 1927 in Baltimore, MD to Roy and Estell Henderson. He was raised on a Tobacco Farm in Campbell County by his loving Grandparents David Loving and Ida May Clements. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and adoring mother Dana A Henderson. Eugene is survived by his daughter the Light of his life Kymberly Ann Henderson and his grandchildren, his buddy Michael Bryzinski of Front Royal, VA and his sugar pie Jillian Bryzinski of Denver, Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army in France and Germany in World War II. He was an avid outdoorsman, a lifetime Bow hunter and Tournament Archer. He made his own bows and won many trophies and awards over the years. He was a 3 time President of the Princess Anne Bowmen and in 1975 was elected to the VA Bowhunters Associations order of the Golden Feather. He was a Master Mason in Elizabeth #34 Lodge in Norfolk. He was quite the Renaissance man. He taught himself how to play the guitar and wrote many songs over the years. He was hired on as a second rate carpenter with the Old Virginia Railway in 1951. He retired after 35 years from the Norfolk Southern Railway as head of the Bridges and Building Department. A graveside service will be held on Thursday November 20, 2014 at 2pm in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. Woodlawn Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
