Felix Asa Shull

Felix Asa Shull, 69 of 153 Maple Ave., Norfolk Va., passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 of heart failure at Sentera Heart Hospital, Norfolk, Va. Felix was a veteran serving 24 years in the US Navy and retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He also served as an administrator at the Veterans Hospital in Norfolk, VA. He was born Feb. 17, 1948 in Cherryville, NC to the late William C. Shull Sr. & Dessie M. Johnson Shull of Cherryville, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Faye Moore of Zephyrhills, FL, and two brothers, William C. Shull Jr. & Howard Wayne Shull, both of Cherryville, NC. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Judith Shull of Norfolk, VA., Step daughters Tanya Tuinstra and Erica Pertile , his brother Sanford (Diann) Shull of Topeka, KS., sister’s Sandra Anger of Beulaville, NC & Carol (Dan) Reid of Shelby, NC. Also 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 5th at 11:00 am at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 818 Norview Ave., Norfolk, VA.
