Frank Sherman, 84, passed away at Autumn Care at Great Bridge, Chesapeake on Saturday, July 16th. He is predeceased by his wife Gladys. He is survived by his sons, Gary Sherman from Chesapeake, Richard Sherman from Portsmouth, and Jonathan Sherman from Virginia Beach; daughter, Dora Scott from Virginia Beach; brothers, Kenneth Sherman and Major Sherman, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Frank retired from both the US Navy and Army after 27 years of service, and also along with his family ran City Hall Texaco at the courthouse in Virginia Beach for 10 years.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, July 20th at 2 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. The graveside service will be officiated by the Reverend Chuck Moseley. Online condolences can be offered at www.woodlawngroup.com.
