Harold L Jackson

Harold L. Jackson 89, passed away July 14, 2016 in Creekwood Nursing Home in Russellville, KY, from Alzheimer’s disease and other complications. He had been a resident of Auburn, KY since 1973. He was a Farmer and was born on the Lee family farm on North Landing Rd. Princess Anne County, (now Virginia Beach, VA) on March 1, 1927 to Maude Fletcher Lee Jackson and Anderson Lasselle Jackson. He was raised on the Jackson family farm on Salem Rd in Princess Anne County, VA. He was preceded in death by his sister: Jean A. Jackson Wallace, granddaughter Johanna Stewart, niece: D. Hope Wallace Parker and nephew: R. Lyndon Wallace.

He attended Kempsville Baptist Church, Courthouse Elementary and graduated from Kempsville High School, class of 1945 where he played football.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 62 years that he married on July 22, 1953, Anne Carol Andrews Jackson, son: Joseph Lasselle Jackson, daughter: Carol Anne Jackson Stewart (Ken), sister Anne Lee Jackson Perkins, four grandchildren: Grandy Lasselle Jackson (Courtney), Catherine Renee Jackson Hunt (Chad), Jacob Abraham Stewart (Ariel) and Rebecca Anne Kelly Stewart, three great-grandchildren Chandler Blake and Jeffrey Kendall Jackson and River Stewart, nieces and nephews: N. Emory and C. LaSalle Wallace, Lee Anderson Jackson – Perkins Hockey and Heather Jean Jackson – Perkins Price and many other loving family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA at 11 AM with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
