

The Lord called Henry Leon Reagan to eternal rest on Thursday, October 14, 2010 as he was surrounded by his wife, Catherine, and church family at Chesapeake Hospital, as they offered up their prayers and love. Henry Leon Reagan was born to the late George Reagan and Lillian Reagan in Belton, Texas on August 25, 1943. He was a graduate of St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas.
Henry relocated to Chesapeake in 2000 from Fremont, CA for a job assignment at Northrop-Grumman in Norfolk, VA. During his 32 years employment at Litton/Northrop Grumman, he has traveled around the world as a Senior Field Engineer. Henry was blessed on April 17, 1970, and had the opportunity to support the Apollo 13 re-entry Inertial Navigation team in the South Pacific aboard the USNS Huntsville.
Henry was a loving husband and a proud father. He enjoyed being a mentor in the Kids Hope of America, for at risk kids. Henry enjoyed helping within the community and serving the Body of Christ through the life groups at New Life Providence. Henry was an active member of New Life Providence for ten years. He was also a member of the local civic league. He had a servant’s heart and a gentle spirit that led to many life-long friendships. Henry never met a stranger, was always willing to lend a helping hand, greeting everyone with his trademark smile and encouraging words.
In his free time, Leon enjoyed bowling, computers, hiking, home projects, photography, running and he loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Henry leaves many heartfelt loving memories to those who cherished him; his wife Catherine Reagan, son Ron Reagan, two daughters, Tracey L. Reagan, and Leslie D. Reagan, one brother, Harold Reagan in California; and two sisters, Louise Milton and Lorraine Reagan in Texas and a host of special cousins, relatives, beloved friends and his adopted mom, Aunt Pauline.
A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6 to 8PM Monday, October 18. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 19, at 2pm at New Life Providence Church, 1244 Thompkins Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 (757) 227-6930.
Family and friends may honor Henry’s memory by sending flowers to the Woodlawn Funeral Home or by making a donation to Kids Hope USA c/o New Life Providence Church, 1244 Thompkins Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Henry will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Salado, Texas.
