Janice P. Vavadelis passed away Feb. 14, 2024. She is predeceased by her husband Emmanuel "Mickey" Vavadelis and survived by her daughter Jeanette, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She continued to work as a contact lens consultant until her retirement in 2021. It was a job she enjoyed for 50+years. She liked to attend live performances of plays, ballets, orchestras and historical events. She loved bowling, movies and antiquing at auctions, flea markets and shops. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Friday, Feb. 23, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Instead of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
