Janis Elaine Scott

Janis Elaine Scott, 59, passed away in Norfolk on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Janis was a native of Illinois and daughter to Juanita Day and her late husband, Robert "Bob" Day. She is survived by her husband, Jon Scott; sons, Jon, Jr. and Aaron; mother, Juanita Day; siblings, Bob and Dawn Day; four grandchildren, Jake, Evan, Cory and Parker Scott. Janis spent majority of her life taking care of her family. In her earlier years she spent her free time traveling the open seas on many adventures with Jon. Very artistic in nature, she loved making sculptures and making various art pieces and was an avid music lover.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Smith and Williams Norfolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Institutes Foundation. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.smithandwilliamsnorfolk.com.
