Joseph Henry Hill

Joseph Henry Hill, 80, passed away on Wednesday morning in Chesapeake. Joseph was born in Long Island, NY to the late William and Alice Hill. He is predeceased by his wife, Nancy Hill. Joseph enlisted soon after graduation in the US Navy and retired as an E-9, Fire Control Master Chief Petty Officer after 30 years of dedicated service to his country. He was considered a jack of trades, he loved repairing items and could fix anything. He loved reading western novels and playing softball. He is cherished in memory by his children, Donald Hill, Jessica Dahl, Rebecca Brink, Doug Hill and Evelyn Covert; a sister, Linda Dillinger; ten grandchildren and a host of other significant family members and friends.

There will a funeral service conducted at 11am, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
