Mrs. Cook was a Norfolk native and graduated from Norview High School. She retired as a payroll clerk and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Carlton Coleson.
Mrs. Cook loved Duck Pin Bowling where she met her husband of forty-two years, Jim Cook. Also surviving is a son Carlton Ray Coleson, a daughter Linda Carter and husband Danny; three sisters Lois Kersey, Freda Schragle and Alma Lewis and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
