Lois E. Chauvin

CHESAPEAKE – Lois E. Chauvin, age 74, passed away on November 24, 2016. She was born in Travis County, TX. She was the daughter of the late Worth and Edith Peterson of Belton, TX. She is preceded in death by her brother Jimmie Peterson.

She is survived by her son John Chauvin and his wife Sandra, step-grandson Joshua Edwards, sister Tony Jackson of Belton, TX, close nephew Craig and Gemma Peterson and family as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lois was a member of the Portsmouth WOTM Chapter 966 and the VFW Auxiliary of Newport, RI. She loved to travel and enjoyed reading, bingo, casinos, games, watching baseball and Saints football. A strong advocate of the SPCA, she loved her animals dearly.

The family would like to thank the Chesapeake Hospital ICU4 staff and Sentara Portsmouth Nursing Center staff for all their support, and the Staff of Gainsborough Square Senior Apartments.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, 2 December and funeral services will be held at 11 am on 3 December with internment to follow at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA, 23502. A gathering will be held for family and friends at Portsmouth Moose Lodge following the internment at 1:30 pm.
