Lois was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. Thompson; brothers Sheldon E. Morris, Wilbur H. Morris, Jr., and Robert Morris. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Harcum Pilley, and Mary Stewart Howton, Linda Cooper, Deborah Salvant; grandchildren Jennifer Pool, Amanda Holbrook, Rebecca Pilley, and Katie Mitchell, Jayson Harvey , Ryan Harvey, Rex Cooper, Tamara Cooper, Dawn Cooper, John Salvant , Scott Salvant; 32 great grandchildren; sister Mary Morris Byrum; sister-in-law Norma Morris; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, VA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
