

Mother Lucy Kate Littlejohn was born October 28, 1935, in Gaffney, South Carolina, to the late Walter Posey and the late Lillian Posey. She transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in Norfolk, Virginia.
She was the oldest of seven children, was educated in the Gaffney Public School system. She dedicated her professional career working for the George Powell Masonry for over thirty years. Dedicating her life to God, she served as a member of Faith Mission Ministries International in Virginia Beach, Virginia, under the leadership of Apostle Wonder for over fifteen years. She consistently displayed remarkable service and love for God, which was the highest priority in her life. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
She was united in holy matrimony to Cleveland Littlejohn. Mother Littlejohn enjoyed reading her bible daily, talking about the goodness of God, fishing in her early years, and spending time with family and friends.
Her family circle was extremely loving and supportive. They consisted of seven siblings, Mrs. Ann Grant, the late Mrs. Norma Jean Dolly, the late Mrs. Dorothy Dillard, the late Ms. Mae Charles Dunn, the late Mr. Bobby Tate, the late John Dunn, and the late Mrs. Joann Adams. She is also survived by her daughter Ms. Nellie Faye Jones, Mr. Carl Jones (Ex-Son in Law), Ms. Shirley Jefferson of Gaffney, South Carolina, Ms. Jeanette Walton of Chesapeake, Virginia. Grandchildren include Mrs. Shawmeca Jordan and spouse, Mrs. Latoya Jones-Moya and spouse, Mr. Carl Jones, Jr. and spouse, Mr. Tony Jeffies, Mr. Wayne Mann, and Mrs. Lolita Dye. Great Grandchildren include Destiny Blakely and her spouse, Kwali Jordan, Parris Marie Jordan, Royal Jordan, Carl Jones III, and Micah Jones. She is survived by many great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. Mother Littlejohn was blessed to have a host of nieces, nephews, and remarkable friends.
The memorial will be on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Place of burial will be Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery.
