Mildred was one of 5 girls and one brother born to Donie and Elizabeth Clark Rivenbark and is survived by two sisters, Doris Casey of Alexandria, VA and Dauphine Scruggs of Providence, NC and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a member of the Borrows Memorial Baptist Church, and retired from the Norfolk Naval Base. Mildred’s love of music led her to sing with the Norfolk Chorale Society.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2 PM in the funeral home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
