Morris A. Grier Jr., 73, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Morris was born May 9, 1940 in Norfolk, VA. to the late Morris and Thelma Grier. He was one of eight children and is predeceased by two siblings, Gladys Champion, and Thomas Grier.
Morris attended Booker T. Washington H.S. and after graduation quickly obtained employment at Altshul’s where he met his life partner, Carolyn Edmonds. They wed in 1962, and from their union had three children.
He loved to partake in social events, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren were especially the joy of his life. When Morris wasn’t partaking in all of his hobbies, he was working hard to support his growing family. He retired from Sears in 2002 after approximately 25+ years of dedicated service.
