Nettie Virginia Roberts

Nettie Virginia Roberts, beloved wife and mother, went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 13, 2012. Nettie was born in 1927 in Rocky Mount, NC. She was a member of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk and had been active at Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake and in the Christian Woman’s Club of Tidewater. A homemaker, Nettie also obtained her real estate license and worked at Hutcheson Realty. An excellent interior decorator, she loved finding treasures at yard sales. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence, two daughters, Carolyn Flint and Nancy Carlson, a brother, Alvin Hardy, grandchildren Heidi Morris, Amy Kachinsky, Jamie, Brook, and Laurel Carlson, and great grandchildren Jordan, Brandon, Hannah, and Abigail. We wish to thank Heartland Hospice Care and Nettie’s compassionate caregivers Rhonda Fluharty (RN), Kelly Richardson, Rebecca Blake, and Diana Toner. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake. The family will hold a reception at the Roberts home Saturday, September 15, from 2:00 – 5:00.
